Monica Makin

Ms. Makin joined Homestead Capital in 2006 as Director of Asset Management and then served as HCF Administrator in 2007. Since 2008, she has resumed the position of Director of Asset Management. Previously, Ms. Makin led a consulting practice and provided technical business advice, asset management services, and compliance advice related to publicly-funded affordable housing, particularly low-income housing tax credit projects and HUD Section 8 projects. Ms. Makin also served as Vice Chair of the Oregon State Housing Council for four years, and worked as a municipal bond attorney at Preston, Gates & Ellis LLP. Before joining Preston Gates, Ms. Makin was an Assistant Vice President and Corporate Fiduciary Compliance Officer for First Interstate Bancorp. Ms. Makin is an attorney and a Certified Credit Compliance Professional. She has her J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law and a B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany.
     
 
Christina Wagner

Ms. Wagner joined Homestead Capital in 2006. She has seven years experience in property management and has managed sites ranging from 22 to 328 units. Ms. Wagner was formerly employed at Guardian Management, managing conventional, mixed-use and low-income housing tax credit sites throughout Oregon. She served in the Air National Guard for eight years and received her degree in Behavioral Science from Northwest College in Kirkland, WA. In June 2006, she received her MBA from the University of Phoenix, with an emphasis in Organizational Management and Human Resources.
     
 
Melissa Wojnar

Ms. Wojnar joined Homestead Capital in 2006 as an Asset Manager. She has experience in multi-family, 811, Section 8 and Section 42 low-income housing. Ms. Wojnar previously worked for Cascade Management, Inc. for five years and has managed a portfolio of 31 projects representing 1,088 units throughout the state of Oregon. She has a B.A. in Business Administration from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, OK.

Mr. Daguanno joined Homestead Capital in 2007 as an Asset Manager, bringing four years experience to the Asset Management Department. He was previously an on-site manager for Cascade Management, Inc., overseeing two of their downtown Portland properties. Mr. Daguanno is familiar with Section 42 low-income housing and the unique challenges of on-site property management.
     
 
Kimberly Taylor, HCCP

Ms. Taylor joined Homestead Capital in 2006 and currently holds the position of Asset Manager and Senior Compliance Specialist. She has been in the property management industry since 1999, with experience in Section 42 low-income housing since 2003. Ms. Taylor was previously employed with Income Property Management Company in Portland where she was a low-income housing tax credit Compliance Officer monitoring over 1800 tax credit units for Section 42 compliance. She has her National Compliance Professional (NCP) designation and has recently received her designation as a Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) from the National Homebuilders Association. Ms. Taylor has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Georgia and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Photography from Oregon College of Art and Craft in Portland.
